Make an Origami Box

Create your own origami box, adapted from the traditional origami
Masu box, that you can use to store postcards, envelopes,
pencils, or as a gift box. All you need is one sheet of
square paper to get started.

01:Create a Central Point

Start with your paper white side up. Fold the paper
in half diagonally both ways. Fold all of the
four corners to the central point.

02:Create Creases in the Paper

Unfold the paper completely, and then fold the bottom
corner up to meet the top crease where it intersects
with the central crease. Unfold, and then do the same
thing with the top corner.

03:Fold the Paper

Fold the bottom corner up to meet the crease that
is the second down from the top. Next, fold the top
corner down and align it with the crease as shown.
Fold the left and right corners in, aligning them
with the two big flaps.

04:Continue to Fold the Paper

Fold the right edge to the left, alleging with the top
and bottom horizontal creases. Fold the left edge
in. Unfold the left and right edges again.

05:Make Valley Creases

Fold the top and bottom creases up to create the box.
Make a valley crease where shown. Do the same
on the other three corners.

06:Finish the Box

Assemble the box by folding the flaps over and locking them into place.
